Whosoever Smiteth Thee on Thy Right Cheek, Turn to Him the Other Also - A Smart Way to Take a Hit

Matthew 5:39 English Revised Version
but I say unto you, Resist not him that is evil: but whosoever smiteth thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

When someone mistreats you, think of it as you are being punished for some really bad shizzle you've done in the past. Instead of automatically going into anger, you will go into repentance. Use this opportunity to cultivate a strong wish to burn off all your negative karma. Everything on this earth is an illusion, emptiness, fake and impermanent. Therefore, theres no right or wrong, only karma. If person does you "wrong", doesn't make the person wrong because it's just a phenomenon. A true enlightened one will see no "wrong" in anyone.

In my dear guru Khenpo Tsultrim Lodro’s book “Are You Ready for Happiness”, he wrote: “ Suffering inherently sends us a message: in undergoing suffering, we repay or exhaust our karmic retribution. This is likened to crops; when they ripen, their seeds no longer exist. After bearing the brunt of suffering, a great deal of bad karma is thus purified. To bear hardship is to eradicate bad karma.”

If someone is physically attacking you, run! But when someone is verbally or energetically attacking you, try the following steps to set yourself free.

Step 1: Picture yourself as emptiness. Remember YOU ARE ILLUSION, so is the attacker.

Step 2: “But if I AM EMPTY, what is my attacker attacking?”

YOUR karmic debt is what is being attacked, and will be cleared after the attack.

Step 3: Silently wait for the attack is over, then you walk (karmic) debt-free!
