The Most Romantic Words

Whoever you are and whatever you do, be in love ~Rumi

The airplane slowly descended onto Goa, India. I was in my meditative state with my Buddhist mantra booklet, so I was somewhat at peace. As we were hurried onto the transit bus heading to our arrival gate, a blonde stranger sat down next to me.
"Were you chanting in Sanskrit on the plane?" He said, I was pleasantly surprised and told him briefly about my daily practice as a Buddhist. He nodded and told me that he too chants Sanskrit mantras, and that he was heading to an ashram in Goa to continue his spiritual quest. I brought up the movie "Eat, Pray, Love" in which Julia Robert's character was also staying at an ashram in India where taking the vow of silence was part of their practice. I told him that I'm absolutely willing to try that one day, if I could be at a place with people who understand what I'm doing.
“I could do that with you." He spoke with genuine eyes.
I was suddenly sucked into a portal of ecstasy upon the transmittance of these 6 words. He was a decent looking man, but certainly not the type I was attracted to. Astoundingly, even without any visual attraction, my heart was responding euphorically to his words, and my brain was surging in love chemicals. In that moment, he was effortlessly baring his soul in offer of connecting and supporting a complete stranger like me, and I was completely receptive to his compassionate energy. We went separate ways after the bus ride, and I forgot to ask his name.
What this stranger said to me in India was one the most romantic things I've ever heard in my life. Shockingly, they did not come from a long-term boyfriend or a Casanova, but from a completely stranger who simply just opened up his heart chakra to connect with mine. This experience made me realize that I am searching for that partner who is capable to dive deep and connect with me on that level, and who knows how to be there and hold a space for my emotions and feelings. The most beautiful form of love is pure energy, and cannot be seen but be felt between two hearts. I am looking for that person who is willing to spend time with me in silence, and just feel my presence and my love on a soul level.

By this merit may all attain omniscience.
May it defeat the enemy, wrongdoing.
From the stormy waves of birth, old age, sickness and death;
From the ocean of samsara, may I free all beings!
